Accelerating quantum science and technology and developing the next generation quantum workforce through education and public outreach is one of the core missions of QCoR. In collaboration with LPS Qubit Collaboratory (LQC) and University of Maryland, College Park (UMD CP), we are heavily committed to realizing this mission.
We actively facilitate high-level student training and mentorship, initiate workforce development pathways, and engage with outreach activities to expand the quantum workforce and public understanding of quantum.
Our current programs can be accessed below. Please check back for learning more on our future programs and engagements.
EQuIPT is an intensive, focused, hands-on training program for undergraduate students in science & engineering; a collaborative effort between the University of Maryland (UMD) and the LPS Qubit Collaboratory (LQC). This full-time research program includes 10 weeks of training in state-of-the-art research facilities.
The Post-Baccalaureate Fellowship is a full-time, paid research opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in quantum information science and technology (QIST) at LQC’s state-of-the-art facilities. Administered through the Quantum Collaborative Research Corp (QCoR), the program provides the fellows with opportunities to work alongside LQC scientists on real-world quantum computing projects and to develop technical expertise and professional skills that prepare them for graduate school or careers in the quantum workforce.
